Checking the Cabinet

The device can only be installed in a standard 19-inch cabinet. Huawei A610 cabinet is recommended. If you purchase a cabinet by yourself, ensure that the cabinet meets the following requirements:

  1. 19-inch cabinet with a depth of greater than or equal to 800 mm.

    If a shielding cover is used, 140 mm of clearance must be reserved between the device and the cabinet's front door to facilitate cable routing.

  2. The cabling space in front of the cabinet complies with the cabling space requirements of service ports.

    For a cabinet with doors, reserve at least 110 mm clearance between the device's front panel and the cabinet's front door, and at least 100 mm clearance between the device's rear panel and the cabinet's rear door. Note that the 110 mm clearance applies to scenarios where there is no optical attenuator and the optical fibers' LC connectors are 42 mm long at most. If there are optical attenuators and the length of the optical fibers' LC connectors is greater than 42 mm, the clearance is 110 mm plus the cable routing space for the optical attenuators and optical fibers.

  3. The device is designed with front-to-back or back-to-front airflow. The cabinet must meet front-to-rear ventilation requirements.

  4. The porosity of each cabinet door must be greater than 50%, meeting heat dissipation requirements of devices.

  5. The cabinet must be equipped with air filters.
  6. The cabinet has installation accessories, such as guide rails, floating nuts, and screws.

  7. The cabinet has a ground terminal to connect to the device.

  8. The cabinet has a cable outlet on the top or at the bottom for overhead or underfloor cabling.

    1. The device supports front-to-rear and rear-to-front heat dissipation modes. To ensure smooth and efficient heat dissipation, check the airflow direction of the equipment room where the device is to be installed, and ensure that cold air flows into the device from the air intake vent and leaves from the air exhaust vent.
    2. Note that the device adopts the air-cooling heat dissipation mode. To implement efficient heat dissipation, make sure that the air intake and exhaust vents are not blocked.
